STEPHEN W. BAYLIS – March 31, 2010

It is with deep sadness that we announce that Stephen W. Baylis, CPA, CVA, CITP, MBA, passed away surrounded by his family on March 29, 2010, from pneumonia and heart failure after a tenacious battle with cancer.

We are thankful for the many expressions of kindness extended to us by our clients and friends. Please know that Baylis & Company is here to serve you.  Steve was dedicated to building long term client relationships.  To that end, he worked diligently to assemble a team of exceptional professionals who will continue to efficiently serve our clients.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at 6:00 p.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church, 202 South Massachusetts Avenue in Lakeland, FL.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers you consider donations in Steve’s honor to the following organizations: Camp Wingmann, 3404 Wingmann Road, Avon Park, FL  33825; Campfire USA Sunshine Council, 2600 Buckingham Ave, Lakeland, FL  33803; or The Bethany Center, 105 Arneson Ave, Auburndale, FL  33823.

Steve will best be remembered as a man of great strength, integrity and character.  He was a gifted analyst and leader; his keen observations encouraged his family, friends and those who worked with and for him to excel.  Most importantly, Steve was a dedicated husband, father, friend, mentor, son and brother who cherished all of his family and friends.  

Our time with Steve was too short but we were truly blessed to have him in our lives.
